Scott put together two raised garden beds for me to start my first garden in Washington. He found a local mill to cut him some 1″ wide, Red Cedar boards which we hope will be thick enough to withstand bending from the weight of the dirt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each garden box is 4′ by 8′ and they vary from 12″ high on one end, to 18″ high at the other. We filled the bottom 2\/3 with rotted wood then compost made up of old leaves and grass. The top third is garden sifted garden soil mixed with compost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
